Update (aka a post all day in the making)

First off all, with yesterday off I'm slogging through LJ for updates... and just found out that [livejournal.com profile] ragnarwolf is in the hospital for tests. Candle lit is in my mind and good thoughts all along.

My Aunt
Because the aids picked up my aunt to take a shower and had closed the door, they had the conference without us. We did get to talk to one of the main nurses, and she's going to set it up so they call me after the future ones instead of having to take the day off.

She's eating a little bit more. We've given the nurses a list of foods she likes in hopes that this will encourage her to eat more. The nurse is also going to get the speech therapist into the works to see if there is something physical interfering with her being able to swallow.

This weekend
Just found out that some of the people I was trying to see at Southern Region aren't going to be there... and since that was going to be the primary reason to go... Now considering on not going to SRWC. The Stronghold could use a hand, and Jack's birthday party is Sunday. Also, [livejournal.com profile] zimarra is about to leave for AmeriCorps and it's her last weekend in Albany....

So might go over Friday to the Stronghold, stay the morning, then go up to Albany for Shirra's goodbye, then have more of the day Sunday to make it up to Glens Falls without having to worry about breaking down a tent and packing...

Did you think about camping during your conference? It's like 13 bucks a night at Moreau, which we used to stay at all the time when I was a kid it's right off exit 17, and it's a state campground so they are clean and have good potties and showers. It's just a thought I know for certian you will be paying more than 13 bucks a day in gas round trip. I just put 14.90 in for 5 gallons of gas!! As of last week exit 19, had some of the best prices for gas, btw there is a hess there to the right if you are headed northbound. And for the past few years there have been gas wars off from exit 17, but the last 3 times we were up it was lack luster at best.

Awesome food: Try davidson brothers downtown, it's a homebrew pub, my matt raves about their mustard sauce. I find it eh for other stuff though. If you are looking to do a little grocery shopping on the cheap they have a price right also off of exit 19, take a right, to a huge intersection /w rt. 9, take a right and it's right behind the toys r us mega store. Last week the cherries were .99 and banana's are always 3 lbs for a buck! The produce rocks! As a matter of fact, if you bring a cooler type device, stop there for your regular grocery shopping. Anytime we are in town we stop, it's worth it. There is also one in schenectady, I know lot's of folks who have halved their food bill by doing as much shopping there as possible.

I hope you have a great week!

Also, I do have Marnen's Scion... which is very good on gas.

It seems like you've had a lot of your mind lately. I'm sorry for that.

How has Weight Watchers been going? I want to thank you for being my inspiration for joining. Because of you I decided to join in October, and as of a week ago, am down 70 pounds.
