Friday- Aeon Flux and shopping at a store boing out of business
Friday I saw Aeon Flux at the South Hills Mall theater (the cheap $2 one). I don't remember much of the cartoon, so I just went with the plan to waste a couple of hours while [livejournal.com profile] marnen was in NYC at a gamelan rehearsal. The movie was only about an hour and a half and it wasn't too bad of a time. I then hit the Media Play that's going out of business and ended up picking up a few things, including a DVD of Clive Barker's Lord of Illusion, a Dreamside cd that has Rogue from Crüxshadows one one of the songs, and a book by Harry Turtledove (and alternate history of what if England lost to the Spanish Armada and Shakespeare gets drawn into the movement to free England from Spanish rule).

Saturday- Intro To Thriller dance, chores, and X-Rated drinks
Saturday I went to the gym and the "Intro to Dance class." In a way, it's not all that basic, and I need dance shoes (my sneakers have too hard of a tread), and the guy is teaching the dance sequence to Michael Jackson's Thriller movie/video. I then did a strength circuit. On some machines I'm approaching it being work, and on some it will take a bit longer to reach that point. They suggest that you only go up 2lb a visit before you hit that "sweet spot" of it being difficult without being impossible, but on some of the machines I'm jumping by 4lbs.

After the gym I went home and did laundry and played Puzzle Pirates until it was time to eat. I went to Bonefish Grill on Rt. 9 and it was packed. Over an hour wait if I wanted a regular table, so I found a spot at the "community tables" that some people use for eating, others use for just waiting and getting drinks from the bar until their regular table is ready. I ended up talking a bit with two ladies from the Beacon area who came up to try the place. I also tried a couple of drinks made with this alcohol called X-Rated. I liked the drinks [Foreplay (X-Rated with soda) and a X-Rita (margarita like drink with X-Rated)]. I should get a bottle for the next party and play with it a little.

Sunday- Missed Movies, Shopping, and Long Dinners
Sunday I started some more laundry (and I have to finish it tonight...) and then headed out, later than I had intended, to see Narnia with [livejournal.com profile] nounsandverbs, [livejournal.com profile] 11th_letter, the Bester-monsters, [livejournal.com profile] bluewindkitsune, [livejournal.com profile] ioldanach, [livejournal.com profile] purpura, her parents (her mom recently had her birthday), and little Charlie. Unfortunately, I got there in time for the movie to be sold out (but having seen it before, it wasn't the end of the world). So I wandered around the mall and caught up with them after the movie was over. During my wanderings, I found that Torrid had the take an additional 50% off of clearance items that they have at the end of every season. I ended up picking up a denim corset top (they only had a size 0, which is a 12-14, but for $7-8 I can wait for my body to fit it), and a garter belt (which does fit) for $2-3, and some perfume (at least I think it is perfume, it's wax based but too thick to be a scented lipstick). I also ended up picking up a collection of Poe from Barnes & Nobel in the clearance pile, with an introduction by Neil Gaiman.

Dinner after the movie ended up being a long, drawn out affair, with it being the restaurant's fault. True, there were 12 of us (with 3 kids and 1 infant), but the waiter wasn't helping. So I got home fairly late, with a slight detour to NJ for cheap gas.

And now I'm at work
