Ok, Marnen finally made a decision to go to Pennsic, so

I have 3 days of paid time off left. Right now, I'll be working the Saturday before War week (covering for one of the weekend guys), so I can take 3 days off and only use 2 days of paid time off (and work holidays if I need extra days). We'll be getting in sometime Wednesday, probably in time to set up camp and book over to Court.

There's a posibility that my co-worker will be taking both Saturday and Sunday off, and if I cover for him both days we can leave Monday after work instead of Tuesday, but I'll know more about that towards the end of the day today (he has to check with his wife first). And he works 10 hour days, so covering for him on both days will give me an extra half day of time not used (so I'd have 1.5 days time off after Pennsic, and still work holidays if I need extra time).

I hope to know where we're camped within a day or two. We're currently trying for Northpass, Lady Pat mentioned that there still might be space. Once it gets to be a decent hour, I'll try calling Aurora/Kathy.

Everyone is invited to stop by and see our new (for us) pavilion that we picked up this weekend at Southern Region War Camp from [livejournal.com profile] auntiero and her husband.

update:The timeframe would then be 17th-21st w/ possibility of 16th-21st that I'll be at Pennsic

One of the merchants had DMC linen floss for $1.50 a skein. Considering I've not found it in my local stores, it was worth it not to have to pay for shipping. And they had a buy 10 get 1 free deal, so 12 skeins for $16.50... not too bad. I also found a small and compact scroll frame for $15 at the Spanish Peacock (this guy makes fiber supplies from exotic woods by hand). It will work well for embroidery to work on at Court.

Home made pirogies and stuffed cabbage.

Mint tea and crystalized ginger at Jaji's.

Sleeping in a pavilion and not feeling baked at 7 am (very good considering the sunburn was already bumpy at that point).
