collwen | weekend update... and more long days at work

at least today I'm the status agent and not taking a million calls.

It's really bad when you take a half day off and still get 6.5 hrs of overtime for the week.

Friday afternoon- aka "I was supposed to leave a half hour ago?!?"
I left at 11:30 instead of 11, because I had forgotten that I was leaving early... and left when I went to go to lunch and realized that I was supposed to have left already. I took the bus up to Albany and was picked up by Tersha.

Friday night dinner was at Garcias. The Patty who was one of our waitresses at Denny's is now working there. Afterwards Jon, Tersha, Virginia, and Dan/Grim played Arkham Horror at the Dan, Kevin, Dan house and got our buts kicked.

Saturday- Rebekahs meeting and old books, and visiting my Aunt and my dad's grave
Saturday, I went to a Rebekahs meeting in Avril Park with my Mom. One of the things we did was drop off some of the stuff from our Lodge building. Mom gave me two books, both over 100 years old. One is 1848, the other 1882 (and the Rebekahs Degree was created in 1851). This is very interesting to me, especially since my Lodge down here will be initiating 3-4 people in a month or so. The later book (the 1882 one) has information on the history of the Degree and symbols and a lot of interesting stuff.

After the meeting I took Mom back to Pittstown and visited my Aunt for a few minutes (and helped her with some Social Security medication paperwork). Then Ed and I headed back to Watervliet, stopping off at Stewarts for a make your own sundae and then the cemetary where my dad is burried, and Ed and I visted his grave and ate ice cream.

Saturday Night- Arkham Horror 2, and Sunday- Missed concerts and getting home
Saturday night, Ed, Virginia, Jon, Dan, and I played another round of Arkahm Horror, but this time *we* kicked ass.

Sunday, I found out about a Peter Schickele/P.D.Q Bach concert at Troy Music Hall, but Tersha fell ill and with working things out about her I didn't end up going. I got home on the train about 9:20 ish and met Marnen for dinner.

And now I'm at work... for another long week...
