Ed is stable. He has bad days and good days. Yesterday seemed to be a half bad day- he was a little out of it and apparently after I saw him he got really agitated. Apparently, he's developed an allergy to pennicillin.
I've asked Mom to get a written diagnosis and prognosis from the doctors. Unfortnately, she states that the insurance company told her that they wouldn't cover anything if she moved him to Albany Med because they would just do all the same tests again at a higher cost. Also, because of the stricter HIPPA laws it's going to take some work to get me on the allowed list of people with access to his medical information, because I wasn't on the list before and he's not really in a mental state to be adding me onto the list.
I'm trying to get the name of our lawyer from Mom so I can get some legal advice on what's going on and what to do.
