So, not having weighed in since 9/22 and my schedule being so wacky (which doesn't help with eating right or exercising), and I lost 1.0... so I'm back to 215.8 (I had gained 1.8 in the couple of weeks before 9/22).

And I expected to have gained 5 lbs or so....

Although I do have a slight NSV (Non Scale Victory)... my engagement ring, which I was sized for about 8-9 weeks ago, is starting to get a little loose and I'll have to get something to help keep it on soon.

Start weight 272.8 Current 215.8 Net change -57.0
Start 6/9/04, 10% on 9/15/04 next goal - the next 10 lbs
Descending the decades: 270-6/23/04, 260-7/8, 250-8/15, 240-10/13, 230-4/13/05, 220-8/3

last weekend- the fall folk project in the rain

So I got out of work a little early (instead of a couple of hours late) and met Marnen in Yonkers (via train) to go to the and I headed to Folk Project Fall Festival 2005

The festival was pretty interesting. It wasn't a dance camp, although they had a dance track. The festival is more on folk music in general. I did feel out of place at times, me with the early music kick (and that's what the most recent experience has been in) and I think all of a half dozen people would have had an interest in the same stuff and most of them were too busy to play.

Highlights were getting pictures of Marnen and Contrazz (one of his contra groups), getting to dance contra and not hurt afterwards, shooting archery in the rain (now to get targets at SCA royal round ranges and work to draw that 35 lb bow on a regular basis), seeing/hearing Marnen play- and play a string instrument with Sam Zygmuntowicz (I've heard Marnen play violin/viola, Sam is great on his violin, and he's also a high quality violin maker, but usually when they're playing together it's in a contra group that Marnen's playing piano/keyboards for and not violin/viola), and playing harmonics on my flute for the first time deliberately (as part of a workshop).

And rain. and rain. and more rain... just like it's continued to do so for this whole week.

And I got a tie dye hoodie (the tie dye vendor must had made a killing because she had the only dry clothing for a while) and matching socks. Hmmm... dry warm socks.
