female body stuff, so you might not want to know...
I think I've regulated to a point.

I got my previous period in Sept. on the 13th (in the morning while cooking for Barleycorn).

I went to get my breakfast and felt that tell-tale shift in bodily organs (does anyone else get this?) and set my stuff aside on a counter and ran to the bathroom, and sure enough, I had started bleeding.

Today's the 14th.

I'm trying to remember the time-frame for August, but can't off hand.... but lets see what November brings.

And both cycles have been red at the full moon, or just after... so I'll start preparing around the 11th of next month, which is the next full moon. And damn, that's right around Ceilidh. Grrr.

Yay for regulation. If you want to get an even better idea of what your cycle is doing - ie ovulation times, luteal phases, etc. - take a ganger of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." It tells you how to chart and what to look for and such like to recognize when you're fertile. It can be used successfully for BC if you're religious about charting every aspect of your cycles.

Another good place to look is www.fertilityfriend.com. It's a free site that gives some direction on charting.

I'm not looking at it for a fertility thing, but having an idea when I'm going to need to remember hygiene stuff and *not* to wear green jeans (fortunately, they're baggie enough that the red spot can be hid) is a good idea. It was one of the things that I liked about being on the pill (besides getting my cycle in the first place).

That's what I'm saying though. It's a good way to figure out your cycle. Then if you ever DO want to use it for fertility purposes, you'll be ahead of the game.

It's always a good idea to know what's going on with your body so you can figure out if something is going whacky and you need to get to a doctor. I can't tell you how much I've learned about my reproductive health since starting all of this. It's amazing what your body can tell you if you just learn to pay attention to its (sometimes incredibly) subtle cues.

Sorry, this is one of my "platforms" - women's reproductive health.
