RIP: Jim Baen

I'm not sure I could say it better than seawasp has in his journal.

For those who may not recognize the name, he was the head of Baen Books, a publishing house specializing in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. You've heard of me talk about John Ringo, David Drake, Eric Flint, and Michael Z. Williamson (aka mzmadmike) and their books- for example the Paladin of Shadows series (Ghost), the Honor Herrington series, the 1632-verse series, and the Freehold series- Baen Books is the publishing house who gave those to us.

I wish I had the chance to meet him and thank him.

Aunt Glady's moving

Apparently, they're going to move her to a nursing home/rehab home.

They're not sure which one, because there's apparently a couple of different ones she could end up in and they're still looking for room.

There's the Evergreen Commons, and The Springs, both in the North Greenbush/East Greenbush area.

They plan to move her tomorrow, but I'm still going to be there for the morning rounds.
