RIP: Jim Baen
Jun. 29th, 2006 10:16 amI'm not sure I could say it better than
seawasp has in his journal.
For those who may not recognize the name, he was the head of Baen Books, a publishing house specializing in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. You've heard of me talk about John Ringo, David Drake, Eric Flint, and Michael Z. Williamson (aka
mzmadmike) and their books- for example the Paladin of Shadows series (Ghost), the Honor Herrington series, the 1632-verse series, and the Freehold series- Baen Books is the publishing house who gave those to us.
I wish I had the chance to meet him and thank him.
