well... since he has been discharged to home, you SHOULD be able to take him to the ER at Albany Med if he has another relapse. If he is brought in though the ER, they'll admit him here.
That's a good point. Make sure your mom knows that if he has to be transported for any reason to a hospital to specifically ask that he go to Albany Med. If you don't say anything, they'll bring you to whatever's closest (generally, sunatrya can be more specific on that). But if you ask, and its close enough, they'll take you where you want to go.
they'll bring you to what ever is closest that can service the problem... i.e. major pediatric traumas almost always got to Albany Med, because the other hospital won't be able to do anything with the kid once they get them. But, yeah. If you ask and it is reasonable, they'll take you to a more distant hospital.
