strangest dream this morning

I dreamt that I was back in my high school during the day. I was there as a guest to give some presentation. After the presentation was over, I had a chance to wander around a little, with students around. I then ran into one of the girls (now a woman) from my class, also a guest. We walked to the area that is in the dividing line between the middle school and the high school and I decided to turn around.
A few feet away, standing outside of the guidance counselor's office, was Rob Curley. First I hugged him, then I kissed him. I don't think I did either of them in school (I did have a crush on him in 7th grade, but I embarrassed myself out of that by slightly filking "We love you Conrad" from Bye Bye Birdie in home room one morning).
Inside the guidance counselor's office were some more of my HS classmates- Heather Scheer (I have to check on the spelling), Sarah Hanft I think, and possibly Ellie Yeto. At some point, another guy in my class (not quite sure who it was) joined us. We all were about to leave and I suggested that we all get together for lunch or something before I had to leave for Poughkeepsie (because I had work at 7am in the morning). No one was available for food. During one last round of goodbyes, Robert picked me up (for some reason he was able to pick me up like a little kid), kissed me and seemed reluctant to let me go.
gods, it was weird. Then I got lost on the way home and ended up in PA, and getting bamboozled at a convenience store to have someone lead me home (I was about to fix that when I woke up).
So this morning I'm trying to look up the people that were in my dream on the web. I may have found Rob (but what he's doing as a bank exec in Albany I have no clue), but I have to go over the spellings to see if I can find anyone else... no obvious hits.

And I never kissed him, ever... so that was part of what was so weird.

Date: 2005-08-25 04:52 pm (UTC)One of the funny things is that I do see people from my old high school. Will, Brett, Becky, and Patti are all from Tamarac- and all behind me. The last time I saw someone from my year was a year or so ago, because one had moved back into the trailer park I grew up in a couple of doors away from Mom and Ed.
