Ok... so I've been bouncing around about the Cruxshadows concert, and the book Ghost. And I've joined a discussion list and a forum for Cruxshadows...
and of course I mentioned the book.
I just got an email from the author. He's cool with the fact that
chickipu_no_oni and I got the books in advance. And he's right now getting ready to go to the CXS concert in Nashville tonight.
Oh, PSA about Ghost. It's a bit graphic in terms of sex and violence, and kinked in terms of sex.

Date: 2005-09-28 10:54 pm (UTC)I really enjoyed the Posleen series - the names he used was like reading a 1/508 & 3/505 battalion roster.

Re: Yeah - John rocks...
Date: 2005-09-29 10:39 pm (UTC)The Posleen Series was kick-ass.
There Will Be Dragons was excellent, and the sequels show promise.
The March to the Stars series didn't hold my attention too well. I think it was the David Weber influence. I like Weber's fantasy stuff, but his MilSciFi stuff lacks something in my eyes.
Sadly I wait for things to come out in paperback, so some of his stuff has passed me by because it never went into p'back.
John was supposedly working on a collaboration with Daniel Keys Moran - who wrote what I consider to be the "one true ring" of novels, "The Last Dancer." Not heard anything more on it...
