Roses and future events.

Friday night
I got home, got the rest of the stuff in the car, got Robin, got copies of the class notes made, got snack/dinner at McDonalds, got ice and gas, then got to the highway and to the event. Even got the nylon tent set up and everything in it before it started raining.
During the rain I ended up in the Izenfoust tent when I was looking to say hi and hang out with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
auntiero and rombarro a little bit. I ended up in that tent for a good portion of the weekend. They are such a cool group of people.
Saturday
I got up Saturday morning and found thatioldanach, purpura, and squishymorton had gotten in late in the night and that my pavilion was in camp to be set up. So instead of going to authorize fencing, I set up the tent (with some help- first from Rowena, then adjustment help from Casey). Then I went to go teach my class, and had mis-read the schedule, so was late to the class. So late that I just rescheduled it.
I then brought my baked goods over to the Dione Sidhe coffee house. Then I went back and hung out at the Izenfoust tent, then cooked dinner and took a nap. I spent the night in Campbell, with a brief foray to the barn to meet the Australians thatchickipu_no_oni had brought to the event (they're from the crew that tetsujinnooni and chickipu_no_oni are members of on Puzzle Pirates). I was in camp for the turn over of the leadership of Clan Campbell. Wow.
I spent the night going between the fire (where at one point I was asked to sing Born on the Listfield) and the Izenfoust tent, where a game of Cosmic Wimpout almost happened. I still don't know what the game is about.
I went to go to bed around 2:30, but that's when Jon showed up. We talked for a minute, then he went to find Tersha. As soon as I was about to fall asleep, he came back and we ended up talking a bit more, keeping an eye on things as the ambulances did their job. We then found Tersha and filled her in on what happened. Then I went and crashed... around 4 am.
Sunday
I actually woke up in time to try to authorize in fencing. I have to find out if I was just so bloody tired that I was making a dumb mistake, or if I have a bad habit to break. I didn't end up authorizing, again. I was told "you're so close" which I guess is a good thing.
I went back to the tent and crashed.
I got up, ate lunch, went to teach my class (which went well and over time), then went back and crashed again- missing Court.
I got up, went to the household dinner for Dione Sidhe, then came back and hung out at Campbell/Izenfoust a little.
Monday, I got up early. My phone alarm went off at 5:15 because it was a weekday. I didn't get back to sleep. I started packing, but held off on breaking down the tent until more people were up. But then it sprinkled a little. So I tried to wait it out, and then started breaking down the tent, 10 minutes before the rain stopped and the sun came out. So I have damp canvas to set up tonight (if I can do it by myself) or tomorrow at the very latest (when Marnen is home). I have to go to the BesterMorton Stronghold to get the tent poles after work today.
After packing up, I first went to the Olive Garden to have appetizer with one crew, then went to Garcia's to have lunch with another. I then went to Jon & Tersha's to shower, and pass out (because I was exhausted) before heading home.
Future Event/Rebekahs plans- I'm checking to see if Marnen will be at Southern Region War Camp with me or not, because I think he has another week long gig around then (this time in Kentucky, not California). It's July 21-23. I'm not going to Glenn Linn because if I work that holiday then I can take off the time on other days.
Wait, oh damn it. If I go to SRC, I'm going to be insane. I have to be up to Glens Falls for a Rebekah Assembly Session on Sunday night... *F&%K* (and not in the good sense). Unless I just go to Souther Region for Friday night and Saturday, and leave Sunday AM or Saturday night. I'll have to think about it. It'll be about a 5 hour trip from Southern Region to Glens Falls.
Then again, that's only about an hour longer of a trip then if I was going from home... so it won't be so bad. I just have to pack a case for Rebekahs and a case for SCA. I was going to look into camp grounds up there anyway to make the trip less expensive (because the hotel rate they got for the Session are bloody expensive, and going from Albany to Queensbury each day would be... insane).
